Welcome to the UBCM Convention 2024. Please consider me for the UBCM Executive Board, Director at Large. I currently reside in the Traditional and Treaty lands of the Tla’Amin Nation. I am originally from Kitwanga, within Gitxsan territories and am indigenous of Gitxsan and mixed European cultures. Family is my ground for all that I do. My life and background include experiences in BC and Alberta and has included:

  • Regional Economic Development Officer for the Province of BC in the Northwest area of the province.
  • Acting Aboriginal Relations Manager for the BC Ministry of Forests in the Prince Rupert Forest Region.
  • Treaty Officer, Ministry of Forests, Prince Rupert Region.
  • EMA-FA for BC Ambulance in Stewart, BC.
  • Aboriginal Relations Manager for Alberta Environment, Central Region, in Red Deer, Alberta.
  • Business & Financial Manager for family logging businesses from 1996 to 2007.
  • Family Boat Yard Business from 2008-2024

I offer commitment to team building, democratic processes, and strive for consensus whenever I can. I value good governance which means economic, social, and environmental responsibility to me. Some of the roles I have taken on as City Councillor and Municipal Director include:

Governance today is very much about team building and working together. UBCM fosters this throughout the province and I would love to help. My core interests include social cohesion, reconciliation and climate action.
